Cote D’Or Village
Just 15 minutes away from the hotel by foot, whether along the beach or by the roadside, you’ll find Praslin’s “busiest” area along the main strand of the Cote D’Or village. Here you can visit shops, souvenir boutiques, restaurants, dive centres and excursion operators, as well as a bank and ATM, before returning to the tranquillity of Acajou.
Vallee de Mai
A UNESCO World Heritage, the Vallée de Mai is a must-see for every visitor to the Seychelles.
This primeval palm forest is home to 30-metre tall palms that produce the largest nut in the world: curiously shaped double-sided coconuts that resemble the shape of the female pelvis. Along with the black parrot and other endemic species, the forest creates a dense canopy overhead, leaving only nature’s brand of silence underneath and just a few slivers of sunlight. For visitors walking its trails, the atmosphere conveys a sense of timelessness that few places can re-create.
